Professional Bio: Mr. Shyam Bahadur KC is a dedicated and passionate geologist with 37 years of experience in geological assessments and petroleum geology. He holds an MSc in Geology from India, a Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Exploration from Norway, and a Diploma in Petroleum Policy and Management from PETRAD in Norway. His vast experience spans geological projects and sustainable development, having served with the Government of Nepal in senior roles for over three decades.
Mr. KC was actively involved in major projects like the Melamchi Water Supply Project and Budhi Gandaki Hydroelectric Project as a geologist and project manager. His career also includes working as a consultant for various geophysical explorations and international projects with companies such as Petroscanada (Canada), Texana Resources Company (USA), and Cairn Energy Nepal (UK).
He has participated in numerous international seminars and workshops across Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore, USA, Canada, and more. Following his retirement from government service, Mr. KC continues his commitment to sustainable development, leading initiatives at SAPPROS Nepal with a vision for enhancing Nepal’s rural communities through impactful development projects.
