This eight-month project, being implemented in three municipalities of Rukum West aims to improve food security, livelihoods, and nutritional well-being of Jajarkot earthquake-affected and vulnerable families. The project focuses on building community assets and infrastructure, providing conditional and unconditional cash transfers, offering skill training programs, and developing critical public facilities, including road improvements. It targets 5,800 households: 3,140 for cash-for-work, 340 for cash-for-training, and 2,320 for unconditional support, which includes households without able-bodied members aged 18-59, pregnant or breastfeeding women, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and individuals with chronic illnesses. Each household will receive NRs. 36,000, with an additional nutritional top-up of NPR 10,000 for those with pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 23 months.
