This project aimed to combat high rates of malnutrition among pregnant and lactating women and young children. Focusing on reducing stunting, wasting, and underweight indicators, the program enhanced access to essential health and nutrition services, raises awareness of healthy practices, and promotes the use of government services. It empowers local communities through capacity building, fostering ownership, and collaboration with government agencies and local health workers. Key goals included reducing stunting in children under 24 months, reducing wasting and anemia among pregnant and lactating women and children, and improving maternal and child feeding practices. The program has been helping to strengthen provincial and local government’s implementation capacity through training, monitoring, and supervision.
