This three-year multisectoral initiative aimed to assist 6,240 households affected by the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. Operating in 15 municipalities across five districts, the project helped 4,000 households construct safer homes and provided livelihood assistance to all 6,240 families to enhance economic resilience. Key efforts included Lumanti’s focus on rebuilding homes, while SAPPROS supported communities in restoring critical water supplies and specific trainings preceded input supports for livelihood activities, imparting technical knowledge and skills related to agricultural support for crops such as potato, cucumber, tomato, cauliflower, beans, turmeric, ginger, and brinjal, and livestock support for goat, buck, and poultry rearing.
