SAPPROS Nepal marked its 34th Anniversary on 12th September 2024 in Kathmandu, welcoming over 120 distinguished guests, including representatives from 20+ donor organizations. Chairperson Dr. Arun Raj Kunwar expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Nepal, donors, and partners for their continued support, enabling SAPPROS to positively impact more than 600,000 households through 150+ projects across 55 districts. Executive Director Dr. Ek Raj Ojha reaffirmed SAPPROS’ commitment to driving sustainable development.
A highlight of the event was the launch of a nutrition-focused publication by Dr. Jyoti Bhattarai and Nepal Dietitian Association, advocating for organic agriculture and healthier lifestyles. Donor representatives commended SAPPROS Nepal’s transformative contributions in climate-smart agriculture, livelihoods, and food security.
Founder ShriKrishna Upadhyaya shared SAPPROS’ future vision of fostering a greener and healthier Nepal. Following the main event, an exhibition for over 40 students from Phulchwoki Secondary School showcased innovative agricultural practices, inspiring the younger generation to reconnect with nature in this digital era.
